1980 Ford Escort 1600 Sport. RHD Import from south Africa with all tax and duty paid. We will sort out the UK registration for the new owner. Car starts runs and drives and is quite a solid old thing. It will need a bit work as listed below to get it up to scratch.

Body - Export spec 1600 Sport shell with similar strengthening to our RS models. Good original inner wings, strut tops, wing rails. Wings have been bolted on rather than welded. This needs attention.Floors are good. Signs of a few minor repairs but nothing overly hideous. Arches are good, pillars are good. Quarter bumpers, spotlights, sport front spoiler, fibreglass rear spoiler. Paintwork is tidy and car is nice and straight along the sides, Could do with a set of sport stripes added to lift it. Evidence of a bit of filler in the rear lower quarters.

Mechanics - 1600 crossflow with 4 speed box. Gearstick needs changed. Forward gears are fine but reverse is a bit of a mission to find, Its there and works but too much messing about. Carb may need adjusted due to the different climate.No choke or heater connected.As with any 40 odd year old car it will need a good checkover from front to back. Will need new longer front wheel studs fitted. Current ones are a mismatch and too short

Interior - Original seats but been recovered. Not be to everyones taste. Door cards are ok. Steering wheel is ok. Headlining is aftermarket. Dash top has been recovered and needs redoing.

Wheels - Miniite style wheels with 185 / 60 / 13 tyres
